Julian is an experienced criminal Barrister who works with Advocates Smith Taubitz Unsworth Ltd on serious and complex criminal cases, adding further specialist advocacy experience to the firm’s criminal defence team.

His practice has encompassed serious criminal proceedings, including cases involving serious violence, sexual offences, fraud and other complex criminal allegations. He brings extensive experience of trial advocacy, cross-examination and the analysis and presentation of difficult evidence.

Julian works alongside Advocates Smith Taubtiz Unsworth Ltd’s Manx Advocates where his particular experience is appropriate, providing clients with access to specialist criminal counsel as part of the wider defence team.  He has an analytical mind and is prepared to apply himself to the analysis of potential evidence of those who have been told that they may be prosecuted but have yet to be charged, helping them to get “ahead of the game” and to foresee what they may be asked about and how and why they may be asked about it.
